Someone at Toei clearly played Secret of Mana; the music played when it shows Fishman Island and Eve reminds me of the music that plays when you actually get to the Mana tree... moments before

Good episode. It did spill the beans on both Wadatsumi (showed the fin on the back of his head) and Van Der Decken (showed his webbed hands) being Fishmen, but other than that it was good. Had some good filler, especially the one with Robin creeping everyone out... Toei has a lot of fun with Robin's character, and I love it.

because it never was, there is a bubble on the deck, that's where decken is. the ship is moved by the sea current, the bubble isn't needed.

Good episode imo. Only downside I think was felt they dragged the running to the chasm out a little. Felt like we were watching the kraken run for half the episode.

I know that when it comes to some manga events being put in anime form they get slowed down, such as the Rayleigh training bit. Recall him talking to Luffy when Elephant charges. In manga I felt it all happened in like a few seconds, yet realistically he talked for like 2 minutes.

BUT this Kraken thing didn't fault due to that reason, there were PLENTY of moments where we just watched running and running and different angle running and so on, with ZERO talking going on.

It was a good episode in my book. I enjoyed the extra touch they added with Robin messing with the others.

My favorite part of the chapter when I first read it was the look that Zoro gave Usopp after he saved the ship. It felt like Zoro was surprised but happy to see that even Usopp had grown to be dependable.

In the episode, Zoro's bit wasn't anything special, but the reaction of the rest of the crew was great. I liked seeing them gain a new bit of respect for their sniper.

Usopp is my fav character and to see someone like Zoro smile at his progress really makes me happy. I could never tell why.....but seeing the crew care for Usopp in any way made me really happy. Thats a reason I hate Sanji, because sans that one moment in enies lobby Zoro has done so much more

Yeah, Zoro has done so much more for Usopp...forget saving him from imminent death, he literally made him a sword.



Speaking of which, after finishing the final Season 3 set (G8), I had forgotten about that one scene where Chopper is acting all "gangsta" w/ the hostages and Zoro gives him a little applause. May be filler, but that's a funny parallel.

Sanji once kicked his captain through a table for suggesting that Usopp could leave the crew.

In general, Sanji has always shown more consideration for the crew at large than Zoro. That's why those few moments where Zoro shows approval stand out.

Really? Lets say if Robin and Nami were about to like falling off a cliff, ABOUT TO. Now lets say Usopp WAS falling off. Who would Sanji go to save? It pisses me off that Sanji could screw up entire arcs with his retarded chivalry. Zoros stand at TB is enough to discredit anything any of the other SH ever did. Also its clear Zoro has more respect for anything Usopp does right than any of the others.

Did you forget that Zoro was keeping Usopp alive the entire time they were handcuffed. Sure Kaku and Jyabura weren't full serious mode yet, but Usopp would have died long time ago if Zoro was not fending them off.

Zoro and Sanji both saved Usopp's ass in Enies Lobby. Usopp was useless during that part. He not only handcuffed himself to Zoro, he also was helpless against Jyabura later.

Hehe touche, but you see Sanji clearly would've died thus being somewhat selfish as that would makes the rest of the crew sad. Zoro probably didn't know for sure he would survive....but his odds were greater.
