Great chapter and all, but if we're really setting up for an eventual end-game Pirates/Revolutionaries v. World Government/Navy battle, Oda's weakened the Navy pretty significantly. Pretty much down to Akainu, Kizaru, Smoker, and the Vice-Admirals, most of whom don't seem to be that overpowered.

Wonder if we're going to learn about a previously-unknown branch of the Navy in the New World.

Well, next chapter the Straw Hats go all saying "WE DESTROYED THE FACTORY AND STOLE THE SWEETS, U MAD??" and they get the blame... It would be a good hype for the new world. *That or they use their friendship with Lola, assuming Big Mom is the Mom Lola was referring too.*

Also, someone said Caribou would be the Team Rocket of One Piece. And he is quite good at flying after being beaten. Maybe thats a true possibility.

Uh... Hody was the one who stole some of the contents 10 years ago. That much is clear even with this god-awful piss-poor pathetic excuse for a translation.

Fantastic chapter because of all the exposition. Hilarious to see Hody and his officers as old people. And I wonder what the anime will do if it showcases the cover story as Toto already had grandchildren in the non-canon - will they say it's his great-grandchildren? On the the other hand, the anime never does the cover stories anymore, so probably not this one either...

One thing bugs me, though: If they knew the candy factory was destroyed, why did the soldiers give the remaining candies to the banquet? It's not like the Straw Hats aren't fully satisfied with meat and booze.

Rockstar btw was a messenger of Shanks though he was sum kind of apprentice.
