Because unlike any other arc, the Rolling Pirates were this huge clusterfuck of fail and I didn't like a single thing about them.

Well they were a nice, "normal" pirate crew caught up in an awkward situation. Oda seems to have made them for the sole purpose of explaining and foreshadowing things: Vivre cards, shadows, Moriah, Hancock, Big Mom(?). For what they were made, they could have been worse.

And on another topic I forgot to bring up -- what was up with Caime's face through this episode? It looked like silly putty morphing into different shapes from scene to scene.

I have to agree that so far, Fishman Island is looking even better in the anime than in the manga. And I'm saying this before I've seen the episode.

There was a US Shonen Jump issue like a year or so ago where he said this. I imagine Viz just took his answer from some earlier Japanese interview and tried to make it seem as if they asked it. But he said he isn't sure if he will show Luffy's mom or not, but that she's probably alive and is definitely not pretty. He said she's be a very strict type of woman.
