It seems this thread is mainly for the manga that I've not read but I just finished watching episode 105 and 106. Levy is all into Gajeel? Really? Also I can now see the Gildarts Shanks comparisons. I wonder if Shanks will go all super saiyan on Luffy when they meet up. Erza's my favorite character, but, Juvia got screwed in the S rank exam. I hope she dosn't get pushed into a minor character after this.

It seems the anime will have:

- More stuff about Kinana's past.
- Jiggly Butt Gang from Rave Master.
- Natsu and Romeo tag-team battle.
- Fights against the Earth Land counterparts of Hughes, Sugarboy and Coco.
- Some sort of city on the sky.

Looks promising.

Yeah, the filler arc looks to be pretty good. I'm looking forward to it, in all honesty. Here's hoping for more Rave Master references.

Can anyone tell me if Oda has any kind of relationship with Mashima? I was on a site that had an article comparing One Piece and Fairy Tail and in the comment section some people mentioned the old rumor that they both worked under Watsuki at some point (or that Mashima worked under Oda w/e) but this was of course quickly shot down. However than people were talking about how they are actually pretty good real life friends. I had never heard that and was wondering if there is any truth to it. Anyone know?

Oda never worked with Mashima, Mashima has said as much in interviews.

I don't know about them knowing each other personally, but Mashima according to his publisher not only never worked with Eichiro Oda but never worked as an assistant at all.
Their art styles are both inspired by Akira Toriyama more than anything else.

Mashima does frequent interviews whenever he's visited the states, and Q&A sessions at cons, and he's always been a bit touchy about the comparisons people make between his artwork and Oda's, probably because it happens so often.

Also thank God Natsu and Lucy aren't actually the only characters, even though it does look made only up of Team Natsu, which is almost as bad...

Thats the only reason im not wathing Fairy Tail anime.Everytime he uses a fire attack we get a cutscene like its in Final Fantasy 7-8-9 and someone summoned a eidolon,GF,big ass summon or something.Same shit with toriko too, he wants to knife someone we see a cutscene of a knife going thru a monster and it DOESNT get CUT. WTF.
