Honestly this is a rather good theory. Lion zoan going on with a lioness. And the end result Pekoms, there isnt really anything wrong with that. Thus not a species/race but descendants of zoan users and their animal partners. It could as well be that a lion zoan goes with a human women and get pekoms( the fruit becomes a part of your DNA we dont know if it only is part of your somatic DNA or if it is part of your germline DNA as well thus it could descend partly to their descendants)

Well that'd mean that even, say, Logia's and Paramecia's get partly passed on and that really can't be true. If anything it's a human Zoan with an animal of the respective Zoan-identic species but I'm certain Oda won't go that far.


Edit: Although the explanation would be nice for Pekoms. Father a lion-Zoan, mother a lioness, and he himself is a speaking lion - with a turtle Zoan! Awesome.

It was just the method. Having a stupid theory, create one even dumber so the stupid theory doesnt sound that stupid.

I would venture a guess and say for logias & paramecia that may be the case, but for certain type of zoan fruits for example - they may be able to pass on the species. Like Maybe 1 person of the cat zoan family mated with another cat zoan.

But thats just a theor ybased on very little. I'm sure Oda will explain that eventually. Though i really wish he'd answer more important questions in his SBS instead of responding to stupid questions and comments that serve no real purpose.

I have wondered if these antrhomorphich and talking beasts like Pekoms, Bebo and (I asume he can talk) the cat on Hawkins crew are members of one 'tribe' we've not seen yet- the Minkmen.They were mentioned way back (nearly 2 yrs ago) when Duval gave Sanji a list of prices for slaves. It can be they are like the fishmen who are generalized as "fish-people" but also have non-fish types like octopus and squids Maybe the Minkmen is a generalized name of animal-people that have various types just like fish/merfolk have various types.

I've had that same theory for awhile now since the only two races that are a mix of animal/fish and human have had "men" or "folk" in their name (ex. Fishmen and Merfolk) and the fact that almost nothing is impossible in the One Piece world, who is there to say their isn't a race of humanoid animals, after all there is race of people who live in the sky (although judging from Enel's cover story their origins seem to be from the moon or something).

The only thing I'm hesitant about is when Pekoms was introduced, it just stated he was a fighter for the Big Mom Pirates without giving out if is a part of different tribe, while Tamago's infobox revealed he was apart of the Longleg tribe.
