Without triumphant and happy chapters like these the sad moments wouldn't be nearly as impactful. I really love this chapter, in fact, the last 10 or so have been the best since the timeskip, it's only going upward from here. I'm also happy that the story seems to be back to it's classic pacing.
This chapter was comedy gold!
I love me some Nami fanservice. It's been too long, Oda!
They caught a big fish, then a bigger fish, then A HUGE ASS FISH!
I kinda felt sad for Brook when he thought he had actually reunited with Laboon. *teardrop*
You just know the anime is going to drag that out for at least 3 minutes along with sad, depressing music.

Giant Ass Maelstrom
My guess is that they were trying to escape from the New World, because it's such a hellhole.
This was a fun chapter! I started cracking up when Brook kept thinking the whale was Laboon.
Alright, well this is the last chapter I'll be reading fanslated, starting next week I'll reread the last few chapters with Shonen Jump Alpha!
Fun chapter the wales are beautiful and that last page, BRING IT.
and hey Lola is in W7 eh?Heading for the New World or what? gooood timing
A bath with view on the sea ah the sunny is such a chill place seriously when I become a billionaire ima make a replica.
ps: I cn't wait to see Smoker's face when he realizes they are ahead of the game.
Question:How come the guys were allowed to attack from within the ship's bubble this time?

for 4 years I have visualized how the new world would look when they arrived, and I have to say that a red sea of flames and thunderstorms was the best part of this chapter, Its just so adventurous.
Kiwi and Mozu were expected - I wonder if they've taken over Blueno's old bar - but I didn't anticipate seeing Lola and co. on the coverstory just yet... I suppose that since they're no longer confined to Thriller Bark, they had to go somewhere, though. And unless they were looking to head into the New World themselves, Water 7 or Sabaody would be their next logical stop.
Nami's new "Shower Tempo" is quite possibly the best thing I have ever seen... XD
I'd feel sorry for Sanji and Brook, but they did kind of bring it on themselves. Nice to see she doesn't begrudge Chopper's presence though.
Still, leaving the ship in the others' hands for a bit to take a bath, Nami? I realize it's been a while, but that's just asking for trouble...
Deep sea fishing turns into "Summon Bigger Fish"... XD
Zoro's got his 360-Pound Cannon down to a single sword attack. And, though it's hard to tell with the scale, I'm almost convinced that he used it in a piercing manner, like the supped-up version of Brook's technique (I forget the name) used by Ryuma.
"Whitestrom" current sends the ship into a school of Island Whales... Looks like Laboon's scars aren't uncommon in his species.
Sanji: "HEAD COUNT! Nami-san?"
Nami: "Here."
Sanji: "Robin-chan?"
Robin: "Here."
Sanji: "Well, we're all good then..."
XD
And into the New World! I echo Luffy's sentiments here... Perfect!!!
Black tea really is best enjoyed with one's fellow monsters.
Actually I'm not complaining about it's battles for once. That was just one of my minor issues of Fishman Island. I was just pointing out that not much happened. Which, as I pointed out, isn't inherently a bad thing since it's obvious this chapter is meant as a breather chapter. It's certainly not a bad chapter, I just thought it was a boring one.

It's possible that the whales tried to go through the hole to Paradise, failed and swam back to the New World.

Damn it. This means Smoker won't even notice they appeared elsewhere in the NW until he hears news of further exploits. Unless they are only kind of far away and they'll be spotted by lesser marines soon enough for the pursuit to begin. Think we'll get a small EB style arc before seeing him the way Oda has it set up. Urouge's island as good a guess as any.
I wonder if the water is red because of algae?
This is exactly what Oda is depicting through the scars.
This school of whale IS Laboon's family and like Brook said, they have been looking for Laboon for the past fifty years. Laboon was able to get past the red line because of his small size as a baby through the "hole" while all the other island whales remain on the other side of the red line. It can be assumed that for these fifty years they have been crashing their heads against the red line trying to get to the other side to pick up Laboon, and as a result each and every one of these whales have scars on their heads similiar to how Laboon got his scars.
Another indication of the whales being Laboon's family is their love for music as well as their reaction to Brook's message about Laboon.
This is just a beatiful compliment to Brook and Laboon's story by Oda. I don't understand why so many here think this chapter is boring.
This chapter was nice

People wouldn't have much of a problem if Smoker wasn't hyped up like he was.
Good chapter. The New World looks crazy. Also, did anyone notice Usopp's new slingshot?
