Yeah,he can eat,but he doesn't have to.Like,he survived for 50 years on a boat by himself.

now your expecting a lot of a goofy guy like oda, the guy who thinks blowing air into your bones will make them super strong

he's great when it comes to planning something out, world building, character development etc. but the little stuff like how big a character is, scars or science don't really go hand and hand with him, yes science and him have some issues

I wonder how many pages Oda is gonna use to introduce and develop the samurai.

I find it very likely that he is a force to be reckoned with from the fact that he doesn't fear the schichibukai (guessing Law at this point). I hope that he will serve as a gateway character into a bigger story, for example if he really is a Wano Samurai he could provide some insight in matters concerning that country and its relation with the World Government.

I'm eager to find out Smoker's role in all of this.

At the moment, he sure is looking... silly. He should have been more careful.

I would not be surprised if he has a reknowed sword which could explain why Tashigi's will be at PH.

I guess a Smoker vs Luffy and Tashigi vs zoro are inevitable.

I am assuming you meant Tashigi vs. Zoro
    Unless I missed something. o_o
Sorry if it sounds like I'm picking on a small mistake.

    Oops indeed.

    That's cool.

The SH crew defeated captain-rank marines by the dozens at the end of the CP9 arc (in a state of fatigue); I don't see how Tashigi can hope to compete with Zoro at all considering how little she has progressed. Hopefully Coby, Helmeppo, and Smoker (well, we can be certain of his strength) will present more exciting rivalries. Of course, it's possible that Tashigi's rank isn't an accurate representation of her strength (after all, Smoker was a captain while stationed at Loguetown). We'll find out soon enough

Sorry if this has already been mentioned but does anyone know why Manga Stream doesn't have One Piece chapters on it anymore? I'm not seeing any.

    VIZ Media Licensed Series Dropped

    February 11th, 2012

    Dear MangaStream supporter,

It's with a heavy heart that I make the following announcement. MangaStream will no longer be releasing the following series:

    - Naruto
    - Bleach
    - One Piece
    - Hunter x Hunter
    - Katekyo Hitman Reborn
    - Claymore
    - D.Gray-man

VIZ Media has demanded that we end our scanlation work for all of the above. This comes despite our best efforts to pursuade fans into supporting official distributors by being the only group to actively prevent an archive from forming on their website through the removal of chapters that are older than a couple weeks. They've succeeded in little more than invoking inconvenience to the community as their digital magazine missed the mark; it runs several issues behind and only features 3 of the above series. So long as their product continues to be slow, awkward and inferior to something a ragtag group of nobodies can churn out in a few hours - fans will continue to look to scanlation groups and aggregators for their weekly fix.

The aggressive and escalating nature of their threats have forced our hand into removing the content. MangaStream will no longer be posting full scanlations for any of the aforementioned series, we will instead focus our efforts onto the series we do that are not licensed by VIZ Media (you can assume everything currently on our directory will be continued).

Our final message to our loyal JUMP audience will be this:
Thank you for supporting us over the past two years and making Mangastream your home away from home. It was a pleasure sharing our time with fans who were just as passionate and dedicated as we were.

Although MangaStream will no longer be hosting any of the Jump series, if it's something our fanbase is interested in, we're considering leveraging our connections to bring you accurate spoiler summaries for the Jump chapters as early as possible. We know this isn't much, but hope it can whet your appetite until the dozens of aggregators release the official Jump chapters on Wednesday.
unfortunately they are no longer providing One Piece content

Well, she deflected the canon ball with incredible precision and ease much like Mihawk deflecting the bullet with the tip of his sword. That was pretty badass maybe even more than Zoro cutting the galleon in half. It makes me think that she is gonna be a strong opponent for Zoro. Yes, Nezumi was a captain and a weakling.

    I guess we will see.

Mangareader. It doesn't look like it's going to follow. Otherwise my net time will be cut in half lol.

I'm just looking foward to the next chapter. Gonna be so much fun.

Wasn't Nezumi just a normal captain from the blues? Smoker was a captain from Navy HQ. Oda has said that guys from HQ are stronger than normal guys in the blues.

Just because he can eat, defecate and breathe doesn't mean that he NEEDS to. He lived 50 years in a ship and he didn't ate anything. Oda never said that he would breath, and Brook can't drown in fact, he just sink. We saw this a lot of times before, his inability to swim makes him sink, but he can stay hours and days and weeks and years under water without dying... because he's already dead, unlike Luffy and the others.

In last chapter, Brook is just lying on the floor but we can't know if he's asleep or awake or what. C'mon, we're talking about Brook, the skull joke guy xD wouldn't be a surprise if he suddenly say "Oh, wait, I can't breath this poison, I don't have lungs! Yohoho!"

Even when One Piece has lots of crazy things, there's something in literature called (I don't know if I'm translating it properly :p) verisimilar. In a fairy tale no one would be surprised if there's a dragon, but if suddenly an UFO appears... there's something wrong. In One Piece everything has an explanation, there's nothing that just is, without a logical reason. We know why Brook can walk, but it's not logical that he would fall asleep with a sleeping gas when he doesn't have lungs or muscles or eyes xD

Rank can be used to guess how strong someone is but it does not mean that someone with a lower rank is weaker than someone with a higher rank e.g. Blackbeard having no bounty and being able to defeat people with a bounty with no effect,Smoker only having a captain rank in east blue but he would have been the strongest marine there at the time before Garp came back to it and the 7 warlords are not all the same power level as well even thou they have the same rank as each other.
