Did she go to get permission to attend reverie, or to get the celestial dragons on board with the idea of moving the population to the surface (and possible for safe passage to the reverie, since they were hunted as potential slaves)? I forget now, and need to go back and reread.

Do be fair, that's not entirely toei's fault. They're just doing the 1 chapter per episode pace and this chapter ends with them going into the flashback, though Oda did do a similar "stall" to the flashback.

Now here's to a good flashback. Tori hasn't failed me yet,even the Luffy flashback, though the one chapter per episode might have made some parts drag, I loved how they fleshed out the relationship between the three brothers. Even the old man filler was decent and wouldve been great if they took out the old man or maybe just didnt give him Conquerer's haki.

Sanji was a bit too over-the-top for me to appreciate. I liked the Arlong-arc flashbacks though; it's awesome to see some of this stuff reanimated in HD; especially Arlong murdering Bellemere. Sadly though I felt that Arlong Park and Sabaody Park didn't look nearly as much alike as I swear they did in the manga, but may just be my flaky memory. The pagoda-inspired style seemed to be the only consistency.

I look forward to the rest of the flashbacks, although I may just be eager for them to have happened. Especially with that cross-over special that's coming I feel it is going to be a very boring upcoming month.

I did not really get to see the similarities between Arlong Park and Sabondy Park, they made that scene too short which is absurd because they must not catch up with the manga.

Jinbe didn't look like hell this time, hooray! Man I love Jinbe, I want him to join so bad! Good thing he will! And all this racial tension, it's thrown in our face so much, but still just thinking about all the real life instances Oda drew from it does hit me hard.

Gotta love Sanji standing up to Jinbe like that, I bet he could handle him.
