    Same here.

As a kid I was really freaking scared of bees, wasps, bumblebees, mosquitoes... anything that flies and can sting/looks like something that can sting.
For some reason I also had an irrational fear of those buggers flying into my ear. I knew they couldn't, uh, fly inside my head or something silly like that. But whenever those beasts got close to my ear and I heard them buzzing around loudly I totally lost it.
I think it was a (minor?) phobia back then. For a while I was even kinda nervous around flys, simply because they reminded me of bees and because they could fly into my ear.

I'm still afraid of bees, wasps and all those little buggers. For example, I can't sleep with a mosquito in my room. I either stay awake until I can finally kill it or hide underneath my blanket, slowly suffocating.

Also, I have a very intense fear of vomiting. I don't think it could be called a phobia, but ... yeah, it's pretty bad.

Oh! I remember one I had when I was little! Once, I was in the bathroom brushing my teeth when I was four or five, and when I tipped back my cup to rinse out my mouth there was this HUGE roach inside of my glass. Of course, I freaked out. Which lead to this habit I had to check cups, under lids, under blankets, etc for bugs of any sort. I thought they'd try to crawl inside my ears and shit. Ugh.

I don't really have any phobias, per say.

As an adult, I loathe dealing with any form of bug or snake. That's about it. When I was a kid, I had far more fears: bugs, snakes, the dark, lizards, turd monsters (long story, but no, I wasn't afraid of poo, just monsters made of poo), and not wearing my seat belt.

Actually, maybe that's the closest thing to a phobia I have. When I was a kid in the backseat of my sister's car, I witnessed a car go skidding across the street and nearly crash during a rainy day. The moment scared the shit out of me, and I put on my seat belt (which I had been very reluctant to wear in the past) immediately. After putting on my seat belt, I fell asleep. The next time I woke up, our car was hydroplaning and spinning out of control. We didn't crash into anything, but if I hadn't been wearing my seat belt, who knows what would have happened to me. That day on, I wore my seat belt every time.

I mean, it's not to a degree where 'If I'm not wearing my seat belt, I have a panic attack', but it bugs me to not wear it. Hilariously, I once had a day where I thought, "I should be fine! I won't wear it for this one time!". The car I was in then rear ended another car, and my head hit the ceiling. I wasn't injured, but my god, I swore at that point on that my life was a sitcom. If you're in my car (or in a car in general), please TRY to wear your seat belt.

I used to be terrified of insects when I was a kid, but I seem to have grown out of it by now.

My phobia? Driving. No, I'm serious. I'm not even completely comfortable driving around my hometown. Don't even ask me to go somewhere I haven't been before.

For me, it's moths. I can't remember any thing that ever could have caused this phobia, it just kind of happened. I can't stand moths at all. They have fur-type stuff (bugs should not have fur! >.<), they're ugly, and they spaz all over the place. I can't stand the thought of them touching me. Unfortunately I have to deal with them quite often coming in the house at night with the outdoor light on. If they do end up touching me I freak out and have to wash the part of me that they touched. =/

*sigh* As much as I hate to admit it, I have this too. I'm 20 years old and I only got my license this year because of how much the fear of driving crippled me. I remember being brought to tears the first time I actually got behind the wheel, and that was with my mom in an empty parking lot.

But after four years of very slow progress, I managed to get my license and I don't have any major problems with driving. But I still am a little uncomfortable in the driver's seat, and that grows exponentially if I go somewhere I haven't been before.

I got my license when I was 18 because of my fear of dying is a car wreck. I am over it when I drive with other people, but when I'm alone in the car...ugh. Tense, scared and really pathetic.

    Two strange people!
I'm not afraid of moths since they
    - are silent
    - can't hurt me (as far as I know)
    - are too big to fly inside my ear (the smaller ones usually don't bother moving at all)
    - they usually stay away from me.

BUT I can see why someone would be scared of them, especially the big ones. Creepy bastards...

I'm scared of really big bugs like grasshoppers. At my dad's work there's a place where a bunch of them gather, attracted by the intense light. I find big bugs to be very creepy, though I am less afraid of them then I was a couple years ago. Much less.

I have a fear of "losing control" too. It's a pretty irrational fear too. For instance: I'm afraid I'm going to have a negative thought about kicking my mother down the steps, and that I'll lose control (of myself) and actually do it. I'm also afraid of the consequences (i.e. jail or prison). It's more like intrusive thoughts though, it's not always there.

Fear of heights, fear of falling (so much so that looking at moderately tall buildings freaks me out--all I can see is myself falling from the building and dying), bugs, spiders...

I have claustrophobia at hair dressers, but I can control my own state of panic.
I don't want to embarrass myself in front of the ladies.

I'm also afraid of opening cans due to a terrible accident I had with one.
I just don't want an accident to lead into dismembering a whole finger. Which is strange. I can deal with knives and chainsaws.

Oh, speaking of chainsaws, I'm also somewhat afraid of sharp objects. I'm not sure what it is, but I'm always really weary when it comes to knives, swords, scissors, needles, ect. Maybe it's because I stepped on a toothpick as a kid (which lead to a horrible infection and... yeah).

I also have a fear of toothpicks.
    And zombies.

    No, I'm not kidding.

I have a pretty common one - claustrophobia. It seems to be less/more intense in certain situations, but ultimately I've narrowed it down to the fact that if my arms are more or less pinned to my side.. or I can't turn around/see behind me, I start to sweat bullets and lose my calm really fast. A good example of this would be if I had to crawl through an air vent or something like that like in the movies. Or if I was stuck in a coffin (whether I was buried or not). I know that would freak most people out, but even if I knew for a fact they were gonna open the top in say, 5 minutes, I'd still freak not being able to move my arms up and down above and bellow me. I'm trying to think of other scenarios that this seems to act up.. I suppose in elevators if there's a lot of people.

I've had a really bad phobia of dogs since I was a little kid (when I was attacked by several dogs and got some scar on my leg). Like, seriously bad fear. One time I was just sitting at the dinner table drinking and some visiting family member's dog came up to me and I immediately just broke down and started crying and hyperventilating and freaking out. It only walked into my field of vision, nothing else. Just a couple days ago for Easter we went to visit my grandma's house for dinner and I absolutely refused to get out of the car since they had a dog wandering loose outside. I've eaten dinner in the car one time for a similar situation.

It sucks cause I actually think dogs are pretty cool and cute. I just can't get near one. This applies to any kind of dog, no matter how harmless or adorable it looks. Therapy has not helped much.

I also had this phase where I was mortified by snails/slugs, but I don't think that was a legit phobia lol.

    And anything medical.
The pure thought of going to the dentists or doctors scares me... I refuse to go to the dentists cause the last time I went I had two injections in my mouth and three teeth out, only two of which I actually felt > A <
as for medical? I don't know... probably walks hand in hand with my phobia knees (or people touching them... I'm not kidding), gore, and stuff like that...

    I'm just fulla phobias ain't I?

I suppose this isn't a phobia but I'm always afraid of the cashier using my debit card at fast food places for transactions either running off with it or taking a picture of the numbers, etc. I'm not sure why I should trust a random person with something of that magnitude. I'm just being dumb about it though most likely.

Pretty common one of feeling more in danger in the shower.
Like, say there's a spider in my room and he's in a corner or something, well me and spiderbro will just chill and respect each other's bubble.
But if I'm naked and in the shower, I will not have any type of spider close to that place at all, for fear it'll crawl in, or fall down into the shower or something. So even if I'm in the middle of the shower, I'll jump the hell out of it, keep my distance, reach in, spray it to oblivion if he looks mean (almost never) or simply vacate the premises and use the upstairs shower.
