Another episode that touched my heart. The anime studio did a really good with the last two episodes so here's hoping that they'll continue with that quality.

As others already said, it was a pretty nice episode. I wonder when Koala found out about Tiger's death, because I'm sure she figured it out somehow.
The animation and the overall looks of the ep were great (although it wasn't that fast of an episode).

Koala is so adorable... "I'm going to tell everybody that there are kind fishmen!". Her scene with Tiger was d'awww... I'm sure he felt pure joy...

Then came a longheaded, not so kind, not so little girl dude.

Haha, Strawberry, you jerk. Jerk... he wasn't this horrible in the manga. Neither was Kadar so much of a failure. It seems the anime changed both of them a little. I mean, I liked that scene where Strawberry and Jimbei brohoofedfisted/jumped at each other, but it felt like our longheaded fella held some kind of a grudge against the Sun Pirates. Or Fisher Tiger. Or Jimbei. Also, he was a total douche. In the manga, he was more of a "blind" soldier who just follows Borsalino's orders and such. AnimeStrawberry is totally not cool. And has far too many expressions.
Another nitpicking: swords, where are they? I mean, that brohoofing scene was nice and all and totally appropriate and not wrong at the slightest, but wouldn't it be easier fighting with swords against bare-fisted enemy?

Where are Kizaru's desk bananas? Damn it, Toei; I better see this next episode or else.

Good episode, though. They finally did Jinbe's face some justice. The art was the best we've had in quite a number of episodes.

So Tiger was the one who taught Jinbe to throw a punch like a boss....good to know.

This arc is so much better animated.

Good episode that handled the light scenes and the climactic death scene very well. Like last week's episode, the lesser elements are easily forgiven. I've noticed that the anime's pacing gives some breathing room for the otherwise rather heavy-handed material. Personally, it has helped immensely in getting it all to sink in.

Disagree that Tiger's crying is inappropriate. Not only is his passing a bitter one, we was in conflict with himself near the end only momentarily getting peace of mind. Besides, it ties very well with what Tiger told Koala last episode (not to mention its most tender moment). In a way, it's less the passing of a legend or a captain and more the passing of a loved one.

Nice episode. Very well made. I just wish they had given Tiger a more epic death fight. One Vice Admiral and a handful of fodder marines...... I expected some of Tiger's legendary status to crush them like bugs instead of you know get so messed up that he dies

There's something that just popped into mind that I had otherwise missed before..
Strawberry knows Koala is back in her hometown and she's "the property" of the Celestials.. so .. what's to stop him from reclaiming her, again? He got beaten up, but he didn't lose his fight. And we know Kizaru was present somewhere on that island at the time. What was he doing while Strawberry was fighting Tiger? Theoretically, couldn't Koala have been taken back into slavery almost on the same day she got there?

Well, the deal was that they'd overlook the fact that Koala was a former slave if the islanders gave up the Sun Pirates' location (and looked the other way on the ruckus that capturing/killing them would cause). Granted, the Marines aren't as good an organization as they want people to think, but I doubt they'd pull something that blatantly douchy...

I could see that happening had it been Sakazuki instead of Borsalino and Strawberry, though...

If Sakazuki were the one in charge he would have killed all the pirates, villagers and- while he's at it- the other marines present. 'Cause you know... it's all in the name of justice.

I'm pretty sure he hasn't got the right to do so. Or hadn't got orders to do it. In the end, he was just following Borsalino's orders.

It would've also hurt the reputation of the marines:
Strawberry: Heyya folks, remember when I said we aren't gonna take the kid back to her owners? Yeah, I lied.

One little slave girl, who isn't that strong either just wasn't worth it.

    Not exactly like this, but...

    I giggled.

@Enzeru: Indeed. Hell, probably the only reason he didn't do that in Ohara was because there were four other Vice Admirals with warships around...

Great episode. The amount of emotions I have accumulated for Fisher Tiger in just these past two or three episodes is amazing. The animation was good, mostly because of its consistency. There were a couple of shots where I thought Jinbe looked really awesome. When Fisher Tiger denies the blood in that exclamation of his, I think he looks better in the anime than he does in the manga. It seemed to show more emotion in his expression. Utterly melancholic. Koala is so adorable. I too hope she makes a re-appearance in the series. Completely deserves to be a Straw Hat even.
I think this episode is an example of how creative Toei could be with filler material. Would've been awesome to show a nice-ass brawl between Tiger and the marines. I was really expecting a fight to follow when Jinbe arrived at the scene and that explosion happened upon impact of Jinbe's fist to Strawberry's defense. I wish even Oda would actually portray those fights. So much potential!

Just two more episodes until my favorite character of the flashback shows up.

kizaru might have taken Koala back after all he seems to do what the world nobles want but if the world nobles offered to give her up for Tiger then he would not have gotten her it depends if the order was from the marines or world nobles in the end.
