Windows 7/Firefox Sound Mixer?

Back in September, my Firefox had the interesting property of, when using split windows (rather than tabs), one could independently adjust the sound emanating from each window using the Windows 7 sound mixer. This meant that I could mute, say, a live stream of an MLB game while watching an anime stream.

I don't seem to have that option anymore, there's only one master control for every Firefox window. So the question is, is this power invested in Windows 7 or Firefox, and if it's in Firefox, is there a plugin to allow me access to independent modulation control again?

The majority of video sites should allow you to change the volume or mute each individual video. Have you tried that?

Mute, yes. Change volume, no. It's specific to the type of site I'm on, which is why it's a problem - before, I could control the sound myself without having to rely on app programming.

All right, I admit I was a little confused because of the Japanese language thread in this subforum and I didn't really see anything adbot-like about it. My bad.
