I thought the episode was aight. It didn't go by slow for me. Will hopefully mean next week will have a slightly better pacing. Gonna have to remember to bring the tissues for that episode - hopefully I'll cry due to Toei doing chapter 626 justice and not due to them butchering it.

The episode honestly wasn't awful like someone said above. Honestly, the pacing was fine and nothing was really stretched at all. It would be one thing if we got wasted filler scenes, but nothing really seemed to seem stretched. At the same time I want this flashback to end, so let's hope next episode finishes the job so we can move on.

I think Aohige/someone else here said that they actualy spelled that in english in the actual chapter, so it's accurate.

I agree with Chopperrules... for something that is less than a full chapter, I didn't feel this episode was 'stretched' or 'slow'. It had a lot of sensible content with relatively few panning-over-the-crowd shots. There have been episodes in this arc that, while they may have covered more manga material, felt far more agonizingly stretched out.

Although I do hope the next episode finishes the flashback. It's time for some old-fashioned strawhat chaos. :)

- why did they delay shirahoshi's reaction? in the manga it seems that the tenryuubito pulls a gun against otohime's head, jinbe goes "oh no, your majesty" followed by shirahoshi screaming and sea kings appearing...
however, in the episode they had him pull a gun, followed by everyone... including shirahoshi... staring at him for a while before she actually starts to scream...

- i should probably have brought this up when this manga chapter came out, but how can there be sea kings within fishman island's double layer bubble?
are we to believe they were already there? or were we to believe they came from outside fishman island and entered through the bubbles really really fast (without anyone noticing) , the speed of them appearing makes no sense...

- how did said sea kings react so fast to shirahoshi's scream? were they already lying in waiting, thinking "come on girl... start screaming already so we can do our thing and leave again"
