Wow, the first half was quite good, but they obviously bumped up the animation budget for the second half, and it was amazingly beautiful how emotional it felt. Jinbe, you da Fish-Man!

I liked it. It still felt a bit slow (1 Chp per episode naturally), but overall I think they picked good parts to stretch out so it didn't feel like it dragged too much. They also hit the emotional tone well in both parts of the episode.

I'm a bit worried about next episode though.

Like 2/3rds of that chapter was taken up by Hodi's broadcast, and it ended with the Luffy vs Jinbe cliffhanger, so Toei's going to have to stretch alot to make it fit. Hopefully they'll combine it with parts of 630 (where we meet the NFP crew) to help it out.

Good ep. I don't like a good deal of the Fishman Island arc, but I think we tend to overlook how solid of a character Fukaboshi was.

Enjoyable episode, as someone above said, it didn't feel too stretched out, I like how Luffy always falls asleep on flashbacks, he doesn't care about the past, somehow he knows whom he has to kick.

It was handled just fine. I can see complaining about the pacing in, say, some of Impel Down's episodes or a few in Marineford, but what's happened in this flashback has been just fine. Even though I felt the flashback itself in the manga was too long anyway, I have no complaints as to how it was handled. I didn't feel there were any stretched scenes at all. What you people want is to have the chapters all crammed into three or four episodes, but this flashback would have lost its impact if that were done. Hopefully they will speed it up a bit in the coming battles, because it's during the battles that the stretching feels bad in the anime.

However, I would have avoided making a fanservice shot at Nami's rear when she was having an emotional discussion with Jinbe.

I'm impressed with the choice of music used in this episode. They tend to play more unmemorable songs nowadays, but the music in this one is part of what makes some OP anime scenes so effective. The Neptune scene, Fukaboshi's speech, and Nami forgiving Jinbe were done very well.

The episode itself looked good too. Oh... getting into the second half of the episode right now... the characters are actually moving, what is this... I wish the anime always looked this nice. Beautifully done, this is an episode I might actually rewatch one day.

I enjoyed the music choices this episode as well. My favorite part was the moment with Nami and Jinbei, it was very heartwarming. Jinbei was actually adorable when he said he wasn't crying. I never thought I'd say that, lol. Just an okay episode overall, it felt reallyslow, but that's understandle for the chapter it was covering.

Great episode, i nearly shed tears of manliness when jinbe broke down. The animation was great too for that scene, and it all only further cements why hes one of my favorite characters.

Sanji is getting annoying now. How ever the episode was great, normally don't like the super emotional episodes but this one was done really well.

Only thing did anyone else notice black/ dark ring's around his eyes kind of?

Uh. He's not trying to make anyone feel sorry for him, it's obvious he regrets he let Arlong go to East Blue. Arlong was like a brother to him and he just couldn't bring himself to stop him.
That and Nami didn't hate him for acting like he did nor because he was a fishman. It's said right in the episode, what's so bad about that?

I don't get how you can feel that way. He's truly regretting what he's done and he was willing to even let Nami take his life. That hardly makes him a bland, unbearable character at all.

I'll have to agree on Sanji being an ass this episode. Still a good character for me all around, and I can relate to his chilvalry and whatnot, but he went too far there.
