On the subject of this episode, I can see the episode's pacing going pretty slow due to the 1:1 ratio.

I never knew people hated FI arc. Hmm. I quite rather enjoyed it. It wasn't necessarily his most exciting bit but it was by no means terrible. The flashback is what definitely won me over in this arc.

...i didn't see anything worth censoring in Punk Hazard so far. That's a pretty ridiculous prediction.

Hmm... Yeah... But, I find Punk Hazard far more...enjoyable right now than Fishman Island ever was. I only ever enjoyed Fishman Island during Jinbe's flashback and the Big Mam (and some of her crew) reveal.

The filler would have to be 30-40 episodes to warrant 2 chapters an episode for more than a few weeks.

goty, looking back I guess you are right. Granted the arc seems pretty dark, it isn't along the lines of something Toei would alter too much.

I don't think every episode needs 2 Chapters of material to be good. If it could do just 1.5 Chapters when the chapter isn't dialogue heavy it would probably be much better.
Personally I think filler going into the new world would probably be better than filler/terrible pacing during PH.

Very good question. Weren't there a few episodes in the past year or two that covered slightly more than 1 chapter? Not 1.5, but more like 1.25?

Fishman Island is so much better when done in one go. That is all.

I think all arcs whether they're in the anime or the manga are better in one go (for me at least)..I love the suspense of waiting each week, but I also love waiting for the arc to wrap up and then read/watch it, it's much more satisfying.

Saboady had some 1.5 chapter paced episodes, and the finale of the Moriah fight had 2 chapter pacing. Other than those, it's been 1 chapter, below 1 chapter, or 1 chapter + 2 pages.

Also, Beginning of enies lobby has 1.5-2 chapter pacing, and the same with water 7.

I think there was an episode in Impel Down and during Luffy's flashback that was slightly more than one chapter. The last epsidoe that covered two was back when the Straw Hats were fighting Duval and his gang.
