I guess they saved up the money for the fight which was rather boring.

Honestly, I thought that fight was a lot more exciting in the anime (and I don't say this always), with all those scenes of Zoro dodging and parrying Hody's attacks.

Well, the reason I think not seeing the fight in the manga was better because it was a memorable lasting image of awesomness and suspense for this chapter. I was asking just wondering if Zoro could pull it off and he actually did it by one shoting Hody which implied volumes about his powerup level or training with Mihawk. It was bad to see Zoro struggle in the anime.

Unlike others, I didn't like this episode, the pace was desperately slow and like others have already mentioned, the animation and art were sloppy, the song toei put when VDD was crying didn't fit at all in my opinion, that song should be used just for good-hearted characters xP, I hope this arc gets better regarding animation and art once the fights begin

I don't mind the idea of a filler fight with the princes, but if they were going to do it, they should have done it right. Let the princes win early and then have the tides turn with steroid use. The animation was lazy, sure, but sadly I've come to expect that. I think I have more issues with some of the sloppy art that gets through, even on stills sometimes. Bad direction and art are the things I have a tough time getting past.

Not one of the better episodes, but I didn't have very high hopes for this week or last week. It's from this next episode onwards that I'm really curious about.

I was hoping the anime would make me feel better about this arc (not that I hated it the first time around)... but it's so uninspiring right now. The animation is so bland and they havent made any attempt to spice up these slow as fuck episodes.


They better pull out the big budget when it really matters.
