Silly children.

The moon peoples landed one thousand years ago. Shandoria was destroyed 800 years ago during the void century. The Celestial Dragons are marked by their influence in the void century. The Celestial Dragons wear spacesuits because they are aliens, descendants of the moon peoples (Bilkans, Shandorians, Skypieans).

Thus all Celestial Dragons must wear suits. In other words, it is to hide their wings.

Yeah... I'm with the "World Government was founded by 5 alien nations, from the 5 major planets above the One Piece world..." theory too. I've posted a very long-winded theory somewhere about it, and what happened during the Void Century.

So, the Tenryūbito can't be descended from Shandorians. And it's unlikely that they're descended from Skypieans or Birkans, who still exist.

Lol that's beauty of it, like the Venus de Milo. The fun comes from the speculation, the adventure. The timing of events point to them being inherently connected, but for any number of reasons. For example the Celestial Dragons could be a dissident sect of Shandorians who sold out their own kind to effect a genocide, saving their own skins. They could also be part of moon peoples who immigrated at a later time. Etc.

There's already aliens, and many more sci-fi elements in One Piece. So... It isn't all that farfetched to be honest. (And the moon...the moon is very important to the oceans, and it's in space). And...the World Government having several 'titles' that are very celestial sounding: Celestial Dragons (they also wear spacesuits), The Five Elder Stars etc. etc; even dragons themselves are 'with the stars' in Chinese mythology.

And to be honest, if Oda wants to tell his story--a story which he's already finished--with aliens in it--which, his story already has aliens in it--you can't really do much about it; it's HIS story afterall, we're just following along with it.
