The T.I. drawing was from the volume 42 cover flap.

Man Oda's great at caricatures. Mecha-Mecha Iketeru made me lol.

Really digging that Mashashi pic too (haha he's shaving with a sword). It'd be really neat if Oda draw more subdued pictures like that.

I'm curious about the Kochikame ones: What do they say? The comic especially.

(I find the hugging one kinda odd, though. One-armed hugs are one thing, but isn't full-on hugging outside of romantic relationships not really a big thing in Japan?)

I've heard Oda mention interest in doing a mecha series after One Piece. That gundam illustration has got me thinking it would be epic.

After one of his recent interviews about his lack of sleep I highly doubt he'll be making another series after one piece, we'll see though

Redon proves once again that he's a god among men.

I haven't seen, even known, many of these drawings. I can't thank you enough for bringing all of these to our attention.

That Gundam drawing is just awesome.

Chopper: Usopp, why have you painted the Marines' seagull mark on the flag?!
Usopp: Look closer, those are Kankichi-san's eyebrows.
Nami: Wait, you shouldn't be on a pirate ship!
    Luffy: It's fine!
Kankichi: Don't worry about it. Gahahaha!
Zoro: Underneath that uniform there's an authentic pirate.

    Kongou Banchou

    Kong

Kongou's mangaka was also the author a Golf Manga that started it's run in Shonen Jump around the same time One Piece did, so the chances of them being friends are high. There was actually a Pandaman Banchou in the first "Make your own Banchou" contest of Kongou Banchou.

Besides that, I can't really think of any other manga character with the same hair-style.

I've heard the same thing and I agree (coming from someone who doesn't like MOST of the gundam stuff). Oda needs to draw Tupac LOL. Sidenote: the way Oda drew Naruto makes me think he doesn't like the series that much and was just doing it to be nice. Also not a tribute by Oda but to him, the bomb in the final arc of Rurouni Kenshin was epic.
Prediction: Kaidou and his crew will be the first Yonkou taken down. He will be taken down by by SH alliance and Supernovas. Blackbeard is the first and only Yonkou taken down by SH crew solo (ie Luffy vs Blackbeard).
