One Piece Anime's 2-Hour - Nami Special (25th August)

This should be great! Hopefully there is some sweet scenes but I hope no-one complains as the original arc didn't exactly have such good quality animation.

I missed out on a lot of episodes during the original arc, I'm really looking forward to this! It's a great time to air as the anime slowly catching up with the Manga taking weeks off occasionally. Also it coincides well with the characters in the Fishman arc, even though the arc is really boring me out!

This sounds awesome. I hope Toei can resist the urge to add more recent strawhats, or change other story details, because that'd suck. I love Nami's original arc. :)

I was half-expecting this to actually be part of the TV series episode schedule much like that "Summer Resort Island" 2-parter that included the Foxy pirates. Glad to see they are putting their efforts into, and so far no sign of Franky, Brook, Chopper, or Robin showing up for no reason.

I'm guessing Nami's brief flashbacks to the Arlong arc several episodes back were finished animated clips of this special?

Yes! The Arlong arc is, and still is, one of my favorite arcs from One Piece. Good, emotional scenes, nice fights-

Oh. The march to Arlong Park better be done justice. That, and Nami's backstory.

Seeing as how I don't like the movie reboots where the add the new crew members (Drum), I am hopeful for this.
The character designs are close to the original, and I don't see any added characters. This could be really good.

iknorite? Heck, if they were to make a brand new remixed version of "Overtaken" just for the new walk scene, (Similar to how they remixed Zoro's theme in Strong World,) I would love them forever.

Meh, they know how to waste specials... Namis backstory wasnt entertaining. So why waste 2 hours to do it once again? They could have made funny/sexy episode with her, but no, they are gonna do some boring/depressing episode, that no one of the fan base isnt goint to appreciate anyway.

Anyway I am very excited for this. Very interested in their choices of music. Will it be oldschool or will they mix in Strong World, etc.? I'd be fine either way. I'd prefer remixes of the old like some have said.
