In Ichigo's defense (ugh), Orihime is insufferable.
Then again, I'm a Tatsuki fan, so I might be a bit biased...

You're right, I'd be too busy trying to get with her best friend to pay her any mind...
Oh, this is present in fiction in general but it annoys me, so it's fair game:
If a character has a very obvious "shocking" reveal dangling right in front of his face, yet they never ask the one question that would set things straight before the 300 chapter mark.
Males letting themselves get horribly abused by females for the sake of "comedy".
Main female lead being a hypocrite with double standarts and getting away with shit.
Or, as in the case of GS Mikami, actively exploiting a teen assistant's atraction to the protagonist by paying him barely enough money to survive on while the main character pockets humongous amounts of cash and lives the high life.
The "women have impunity to hit guys" trope is really insulting to both sexes, because if you think about it's saying "oh but a girl can't REALLY ever be strong enough to seriously hurt him!"
I wonder if Urusei Yatsura can be hold responsible for this trope. You know,Lum's constant electric lynchings and stuff.
Possibly, but to be fair, Ataru usually deserves the abuse.
Although I love the goof.
What about in the case of a seriously weak character sometimes disciplining a very strong one? Eg; Nami hitting Luffy, Sanji, or Usopp(hey, Usopp is really durable..)
I haven't seen much female to male abuse in none jump series where it's similar to the Nami vs Luffy situation, so I don't see anything terribly wrong with that at least.
Anyway here's my peeves.
- Female characters not wearing bras just for breast definition.
- Male characters having terribly bland fashion style when it comes to clothes (Blue/Black pants and White/blue t shirt, anyone?)
- Orphaned protagonists.
- Overuse of stupid facial gestures. Yes I enjoy them sometimes, but when a character is more often than not making a silly "anime" face than his real face, it gets on my nerves.
Plus:
-He doesn't recieve abuse from girls only. His male classmates and flamethrowing angry alien toddlers are also often after his head, among others.
-Him scoffing off the female abuse can't possibly be interpreted as females being too weak to hurt him,as Ataru is indestructible just because.
It's a good thing that you and I will never encounter each other in real life, then.- Male characters having terribly bland fashion style when it comes to clothes (Blue/Black pants and White/blue t shirt, anyone?)
New generation surpassing the old. It's been done to death and it's always done poorly.
