Kickstarter for Kaiju Combat - New Godzilla Fighting game?

So I'm kind of a sucker for Godzilla monster fighting games.

The guys who developed the last three want to make a new game. I think most important to note is that Atari won't be involved in the development of this one, since they often forced the actual developers to rush their games or tack on certain features. Perhaps even more important to note is that the developers want YOU to be part of the team and play early builds of the game to give feedback on how to make it better.

Im a huge godzilla fan (huge) but i thought the atari made games lacked the feeling of the series and also werent made particularly well. I think these guys might be able to do better without atari's constraints but im still a bit weary. I wish them well though because a series of kaiju based games sounds pretty cool.

Man, I rented the gamecube Godzilla game like over a dozen times, I don't know why I didn't just buy the fucker...

those were good days, so here's hoping this project takes off. I would really only buy it for the Godzilla licence, though, I don't care about original characters, or any other kaiju franchise.

I loved the Gamecube Godzilla game it was fun as hell to play never bought it or rented it tho played one my friend had.

For a second I thought this was about Kaiju Big Battel (A wrestling promotion in the Northeast where they have wrestlers don monster outfits and fight in a city, which is really buildings in a wrestling ring) trying to make a video game, which would be a hundred times of awesome:

However now I see that it's about Godzilla/monster movies instead my interest has gone down a bit.

That's how I feel about it too. Buuut, really, it's all up to the fans/people who donate $5. They've said that if most people request that the only license they should use is Godzilla, then that's all they'll do. They've also said that legally they can't say this will be another Godzilla game until they've actually bought the license, which is something that would only happen after donations. SOOO you could kind of take it as them REALLY TRYING TO HINT that they want to make another Godzilla game when they can't actually say that yet.

I really want them to only work with Godzilla, so that when the get around to releasing new characters, GABARA would eventually be one of them, lol. Love that guy for some reason. I hope Hedorah would be one of the new starting monsters. I was surprised he was never playable after his little cameo in the first game.
