One Piece Romance Dawn (PSP, Turn Based RPG)

So is it true that Sony have the exclusive console rights to One Piece games at the minute in Japan? I'm not sure where I heard this from, but it would make a lot of sense considering this game and Kaizoku Musou's seemingly 'rushed' quality.

Last time a One Piece game released on a Sony console in Japan, before Musou, was in 2005.

Nintendo "supposedly" owned the video game rights the last several years due to One Piece games only coming out on Wii and DS. Personally, I doubt there's any exclusivity thing going on.

i just got a free psp.. i cant wait till this comes out to play. i also can finally play bleach, naruto, and all the other psp games ive wanted to play for the past few years!!!

Hopefully only licensed games aren't the only games you're planning on buying otherwise that fee PSP won't be of much worth.

Wow... I mean, I guess there could be a small chance the game gets released in Europe, considering that PSP is still selling in other areas than just the UK, right? I always thought Gigant Battle 2 would come out first!

The date is obviously wrong, but it does make it seem like there's a chance it'll come out over here.

One Piece games aren't exclusivley to any system. They only go to systems that selling well.

Right now PS3 is selling well now that it's cheap, and PSP seemed like a good deal.

Not sure if it's new info or not, but that latest ad (from the insert in volume 67) says:
-The game goes from East Blue to Marineford
-You use "action commands" during battle to make your attacks more powerful. So... turn-based but with timed hits via that rhythm-gamey-looking circle thing.

Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed four more playable characters in the PlayStation Portable role-playing game One Piece: Romance Dawn: Bōken no Yoake. Players can control Straw Hat crew members Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji (along with the series protagonist, Luffy). The enemies Arlong, Buggy, and Don Krieg are also highlighted in the game.

i think all the straw hats will be playable. I remeber seeing one screen which looks like a character stat screen and it had 9 slots in the bottom. While you couldn't see the first 2 because another screenshot was in the way (being why it's unconfirmed) it would make sense if it was all 9 strawhats

It looks like it at this point. Maybe if it does well enough, they'll make a sequel with the timeskip arcs. But I'll be more than happy if they actually made the Supernovas and Impel Down characters playable. Playing as Bonney would be hilarious

in an old scan, we see a Profile Screen of the crew, with Luffy+8 empty space. I think we'll se all the strawhats then
