You Get ONE Episode

There are a number of episodes that I greatly enjoy and have used to successfully get people interested in OP.
1.) Luffy vs. Crocodile finale (Dvorak...'nuff said) - Ep126
2.) Enel defeats everyone...after bringing himself back to life (Enel is BEAST) - Ep181
3.) The Thriller Bark fights set-up episode (don't really know why, but I love how this episode sets the stage for all the fights...plus it shows how dangerous Oars can really be) - Ep357
4.) SH Crew vs. Oars (epic episode showing how everyone knocks Oars down...plus, DOCKING!) - Ep365
5.) DBF Groggy Ring finale (Sanji and Zoro show ultimate teamwork) - Ep212
6.) Luffy vs. Foxy finale (A cool fight that shows Luffy will never go down unless he's dead...plus, that afro is so funky~!) - Ep219
7.) Gear 2nd Luffy vs. Blueno (the introduction of Gear 2nd...still one of the most epic OP moments) - Ep273
8.) Sanji vs. Wanze ("I thought I was gonna die." LOL) - Ep259
9.) Sanji vs. Jyabura (Diable Jambe...plus, only takes one episode) - Ep298
10.) Zoro vs. Kaku (Asura...same reason as above...kinda) - Ep299

Not sure how good you may find my suggestions, but I do remember that most of these episodes have either proven naysayers wrong about OP (that it's too kiddy) or gets them excited for the next episode (the set up episodes/middle of fight episodes). Hope things go well when you show it. ^^

It's not fair to everyone envolved to show one episode. It would be better to show Music videos and compilations. There are some awsome music videos and several different ones showing various forms of comedy, and badass. 4 or 5 music videos for a total time of one episode would give a better representation of the entire show than just one episode.

I ended up showing episode 377 and it when over fairly well among people who already had a basic idea of what One Piece was but never gave it the time of day, though it didn't exactly inspire the people who had no concept of the series to begin with. I think it was a reasonable choice and people cheered at the end. Thanks for all of your help!

That was a good choice to show people. I'm surprised that people who had no concept of One Piece WEREN'T wow'ed by it, but I suppose fighting a gigantic bear-man would be weird.

Glad it went over well with the people who at least had a concept of it. A lot of people think of One Piece as sunshine, carebears, weird. It's only the last one. It's a dark story now with comedy within it, and it's always been that way. That episode shows them the dark side of OP that people who haven't seen/read it 99% of the time do not know exists.
