X-Men: Days of Future Past (First Class sequel)

This sounds like a great idea for a movie. Not only can they use it to firmly give First Class its own timeline (ala the Star Trek reboot), it also gives us the opportunity to see Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen and Ellen Page in one movie. A group of A-list actors that rivals the Avengers. And it can give us more of the underdeveloped characters from X3 like Kitty, Colossus and Iceman.

I'm not familiar with the comics. Is that what the actual story was called? Because it sounds like a really out there name. I'm guessing time travel is involved?

That's just speculation on my part. But yeah, the comic storyline is a time travel story (technically an alternate universe story). For all we know they'll use special effects to age the First Class cast or do a different story entirely. But that would be a missed opportunity, IMO.

I do hope they bring back Ellen Page for Kitty Pryde. Since she was one of the few good things about X-3. Heck, Ellen Page is just awesome period.

She's probably the easiest and most affordable star (as she mostly just stars in indie flicks) to bring back. Here's hoping!

Pretty much true. I still need to watch couple of her last movies she did. I hope she does return to be Kitty (Yeah, I'm big Kitty fan). Since she did the character proper justice in X-3.

I am not too fan about time traveling stories.

To be honest, I was more excited about Vaughn's to open the sequel with Magneto killing Kennedy which could have been mixed with a theme of the previous film that Security is more important than liberty and Mutants are not humans and therefore they are not protected by the laws.

We'll see how it turns out

Matt Vaughn won't be doing the sequal. Bryan Singer, who directed the first two X-Men films and produced First Class, is atop Fox's list to replace Vaughn

That's terrible news! It can still work out if Singer directs it, but I don't want anyone else. They just don't get it.

If Vaughn's gone, I'm not expecting much.

Yeah. X-Men: First Class is my favorite X-Men movie too.

My only complaint is the death of Sebastian Shaw, how they killed him off so quickly. Other than Magneto, Shaw is one of the X-Men's top adversaries that appears frequently. (I had the same issue with how they handled Venom in Spider-Man 3; FREAKING VENOM).
