Won't have it done for at least 24 hours, despite it not being a very dialogue-heavy chapter, because I can't shamelessly have manga open on my computer at work...
Fortunately, besides the grievous omission of an entire page, these mangainn people didn't manage to screw up anything major (except the strange syntax of Caesar's explanation of the old vs. new effects of Smiley/Shinokuni... and "4 billion"... and "lieutenant").

I was about to rage when Oda was focusing for like 5 panels on a bag of apples, thinking "ok, I know, you're gonna show them rot and all that jazz, posison gas, bla bla bla. . .c'mon Oda, you're better than that!".

Then, the apple starts getting weird ripples.

And then I was like "wait. . WTF?? A Devil fucking Fruit?????".

That was awesome.

The rest of the chapter wasn't bad, but, as always lately, I'll wait for the readable translation.

Cherry pie thing aside, Jinbe did mention Blackbeard's crew is hunting devil fruits. It's clear they know how to obtain them once their main user is killed, so us getting this insight is perhaps Oda's way to explain what exactly it is that Blackbeard is doing.

Of course, the mystery is still there about how he has two fruits at the same time.

Posted it in the df thread, but it won't hurt here as well:

Caesar's plan:

Step A: Create deadly gas (4 years ago)

Step B: Combine deadly gas with a zoan df

Step C: The now created zoan "user" is able to incorperate other kinds of gas by simply eating it. A result that can't be achieved through research or so, because it defy's the laws of nature.

Step D: Create another type of deadly gas, wrap it up with a random df and let the gas zoan consume it.

Step E: Gas zoan absorbs the gas, creates an even more deadly mix...but dies shortly after because the second DF starts doing it's magic (Lucci said it takes a while before DF powers awake).

Step F: Super deadly gas is now all over the place, the Axolotl DF transferred back to one of the preparred apples. Time for CC to collect his loot. He can re-capture the super gas with his own Devil Fruit, and the Axolotl DF isn't lost.

Step G: Sell the weapon in barrelform or whatever. Repeat the process with the Axolotl DF for future sales.

We shall meet again, Smiley.

the DF shown is smiley's DF right? smiley 'died' and its DF regenerate instantly. if ceasar manages to kill luffy robin law and smoker, will he got 4 DFs instantly just like smiley's or not? you got so much more explaining to do oda!

btw i remeber oda said in the SBS that a scientist will explain about DF. i always thought it will be vegapunk but there is a high possibility that it will be ceasar!

He wanted to show the shadow dealers that his weapon is stronger than Luffy, Law and Smoker.

It would be quite interesting to find out the reason why Lucci is watching the broadcast. Also those new unknown characters watching the broadcast look pretty cool. I mean the imagination and creativity Oda will never cease to amaze me. It looks like a man with a lion's face, an executor with a new pirate crew symbol on his robe and in the middle, whom I assume is the captain, an Elvis Presley Iron Man? And I am also going to second the motion that Monet is the person who threw chopper the piece of paper. She has also had my vote for next crew member since the beginning of the arc, mostly because she is quite unique and would fit into the crew well. I believe Oda also said that the next member would be a girl who was initially an enemy, which is why everyone thought it would be Perona. Finally, can everyone please stop complaining that there is going to be break next week, the break is for all series as this issue is a double issue.
