I feel like I've been brought up in medieval times listening to you all. Maybe a lot of the issues I've had grasping this stem from my upbringing and surroundings for a good portion of my life. As we get older one of the things I've had the pleasure of coming to a real understanding with is realizing how big of an impact our upbringing has on makeup and how we process things and how we understand then. They have such an incredible impact and difference; how something that completely seems simple to me may seem so foreign and complicated to you. So many people grow up thinking they really understand that but they're just sort grazing the surface of comprehension but not really taking the time to think and truly understand. Once I caught onto that it really stopped me from judging people so quickly when they didn't interpret things similarly or have the same beliefs as I did on certain subjects.

you're like, completely denying the idea of fashion, a hugely profitable and definitely one of the most popular and discussed businesses in todays culture, and why it's important to people and what it does.

people wear clothing that they feel makes a statement about who they are. it says something about what they're trying to do or their purpose (a man wearing a suit at work, a woman wearing revealing clothing at the club). you say you wear your clothes for comfort. well, someone who feels like they're trapped in a man's body might feel happier and more comfortable in women's clothing. some more for fun. it's not really that difficult to understand, methinks.

First of all, gender-identity is not about people feeling like a unicorn or thinking of themselves as one. It's GENDER-identity, which means it has to do something with one considering themselves female or male inside.

Let me show you an example. Myself.
I've always been more boylike than any other girl and to be honest, even nowadays, women's stuff doesn't interests me in the slightest. I've always got along well with the boys, on the contrary, not so with the girls. It was just a whole different world to me and it still is. That said, I'm not transsexual, nor do I want to change my body in order to become a man. I'm just more of a boy/man inside than girl/woman. So, my gender-identity is, at least for the larger part, male.

In other words, please understand that gender-identity and gender is two different things. To put it simply, gender-identity has more to do with the soul, while gender is entirely determined by the body. So, there can be a boy who in the inside feels more like a girl, and there can be a girl who feels more like a boy. Meanwhile, they are satisfied with their body, and do not want to change their gender.

Also, you're completely confusing sex with gender. Noob mistake, at least try reading a bit more on the topic before you go in guns-a blazing.

Lastly, what would you say to people who are born with both sets of genitals, or neither? If you cut off a guy's genitalia, is he no longer a man? And what about people who don't simply have XX or XY? Did you know there's people who have XXY (called Klinefelter's syndrome)?
