Odd things you used to think

It can be from any time in your life, not just when you were little (though those tend to be the most entertaining).

I thought astronauts were a different species. I thought they collected things in space, and that inside the suits they were just blackness.

The first time I saw a garbage truck take our garbage, I thought they were stealing it. I yelled for my parents, "THEY'RE STEALING OUR TRASH!"

I thought "Irish need not apply" meant that if you were Irish, you didn't need to fill out an application and would automatically be accepted on account of being Irish.

Hahaha, awesome thread idea bud.

Used to think "china" meant "vagina" so I'd always act disgusted/offended when someone mentioned chinaware or China, this was around age 7.

I used to almost literally be schizo, I always had a demon and devil on my shoulder that told me what to do. There were always secret codes in life that I had to perform, or they would kill me. Like, I'd have to sit on the couch on a certain position at a certain time, etc.

Think that's about it, I'll have to rack the brain to remember more.

Oh, and one more thing... I thought being a virgin meant something like stupid or ugly or some other childish insult. The thing is, in my language, Virgo and virgin are the same words. So when my classmates (at first or second grade) came up to me and asked "Are you a virgin/virgo?" I'd tell them that only my zodiac was that.

I don't know when I learnt what it really meant, but it definitely was before I turned 11 because I wasn't shocked and/or freaked out when I got my period for the first time, lol.
