The "Call Me Mavy" song is as stupid as you might think, but it's worth watching for the first look at David Spade as the Invisible Man.

I'm currently looking forward most to Steve Buscemi as the werewolf. A werewolf as a suburban dad with a ton of kids. Nyahaha.

I've always had a thing for the "hey look, monsters are people too" type of plot punchline, so this is very much up my alley.

Trailers look fun and cute, so definitely going to check this out.

Every time I see a concept for a movie I like I always cringe at how disappointed I might be.

I became more entranced with the movie when I saw the vampire as an over protective dad though. The bedtime story part was particularly funny to me.

Likewise, got a favorite animation director and it deals with monsters (with vampires at the forefront, sqee!). Already got me hooked. Looking forward to it.

I don't need every freaking film to try and outdo the one before it, or even 'make me think'. All I need from a movie is to get me involved in the world playing out in front of me, and to enjoy it.

I just know with the cast of Sandler, I just am going to hate this film. It looks like so much fun, honestly. But after the garbage that was "Thats my Boy" I hate Samberg. I hate Kevin James, and Sandler movies are just horrendous these days. I would love a different cast so much. But im stuck. Im not going to see it regardless so I dont even know why im ranting. But im sure kids will love it, parents will take their kids to see it and my opinion is completely irrelevant.

Things to expect: A shitty dance scene with a rap song thats been dead for years. A rapper cameo in cartoon form. Monsters with obnoxious New York accents. Poop jokes, fart jokes, toilet humor, Sandler singing. Oh god.

Why can Sandler do anymore serious movies? The man has shown hes perfectly capable, but no. He makes shitty comedy movies that appeal to little kids and he uses grownass men acting like complete shitheads to accomplish this. Everyone aside from Sandler is an incompitent retard, Why? Sandler is the sole reason why I hate Kevin James. Chris Rock and David Spade I still enjoy and the occasional Shnider is cool. But god James is just awful.

The day Sandler returns to making at least one more serious film ill go see it. Until then screw Grownups, Thats my boy, Zohan(sort of), and all this garbage this man and his Happy Madison company produce.

Thats my opinion. If you like this film, great! I hope you enjoy it.

If this were a project that Sandler started or was part of the production, I might worry about this. But from what I can tell he's just the voice, he didn't have any creative input. And if you don't like Sandler (I'm not particularly a fan myself. I liked him in SNL, but I don't like his movies, sans Wedding Singer and Water Boy. I think he's better in comedic shorts), then this is the best way to watch him. Voicing an animated character that isn't written to be a Sandler clone (that we've seen so far) so that you don't have to look at his face.

Besides, it's Genndy. I would hope he wouldn't resort to all that.

I might end up seeing this. Not in theaters, but certainly in other releases. It looks like fun.

And personally... the thing with critics. Usually overly critical people I've met have extremely boring or particularly obscure taste. So I kind of apply that same logic with reviewers that devote thier lives to everything with film and make up my own mind. I might end up being disappointed, but I have no expectations whatsoever. I've got nothing much to lose.
