I thought the same about Kinemon and his epic poses. Of course, Oda did the same with Jinbe last arc, and it's still not clear how exactly that situation will play out.

Well Luffy and CC is a given... The SHs can't go outside and inside no one is left... Just Monet, who we don't know what role she has.
Law is doing some plan... My only last prediction is
Zoro and Sanji vs Cool brothers... I doubt they stayed outside and are inside the lab as well.
Even if they look as fodder cuz Law backstabbed them, they are the only ones left.
BTW
What will happen with the DF which was created after Smileys explosion... What role will it play now? Did CC already took it inside the lab?
If not, who can obtain it if no one can leave the Lab from now on?
Just read the chapter.
Jinbe is taking Caribou somewhere, potentially the New World hence the mini-arc's name.
Buncha stuff.
Momonosuke is either gonna be interesting or really silly.
Luffy's Gum Gum UFO looked significantly less stupid than I was expecting, that was actually a neat and creative move.
And the Cool Brothers are out, get over it.
Yea, that's true, but these guys were much less relevant to the story. And even in one piece conditions, how could anyone survive being crushed by the pressure and not being able to breathe for the time ascending to the surface? And we could assume they don't all have superhuman abilities, probably not even one.
This was a good chapter, even though I'm not that fond of pages with no dialogue. But they were necessary, I guess.
A few things on my mind:
- Every chapter that goes by, Kinemon looks cooler. Too bad the crew doesn't need another swordsman;
- Didn't really like the match ups that much. I would have preferred to see Luffy vs Vergo and Zoro + Sanji vs Caeser;
- I have a feeling that Smoker will lose against Vergo, which is really bad... Until this point Smoker was a totally badass character, and now there's a chance we will see him lose twice in the same arc... Not cool. Vergo must be stronger than Smoker, as he is the head of the G-5. Well, I hope that he can at least put up a good fight and hold Vergo until some help arrives (possibly from Law, but can be anyone else, including Monet).

they survived and they already are at fishman island.
Nice and fun read.
-Jinbei on the move,wonder if going see more cover story for him.
-Nice to see Brook using ghost mode for recon purposes.
-Kinemon look some who fits the straw hats(no im not saying he will join,he is temporay ally),he had some good looking faces.
-Zoro comedic moment was good also he serious bit too.
-That Smoker moment was nice i hope he is able to uphold his justice.
-Luffy Ufo hahahhaha awesome
I absolutely LOVED this chapter. Maybe it's because I've been starving for more One Piece lately, but I think it's because it's a get-together-chapter. Finally everyone (except Franky) is in the same place.
- This cover-story didn't look like it was gonna be all that good when it started, but it's already hilarious. Jinbe's packed a backpack and is heading for the New World. When Jinbe was asked if he wanted to join the crew, he said he had something to take care of. Could this be it? I'm thinking taking away Caribou from Fishman Island isn't his main objective with the trip.
- I felt the first half of the chapter was quite good, it was interesting to see what happened outside the facility, makes you wonder if Franky'll be okay, and what he'll do about the Sunny. But then we get inside the facility, and the chapter gets AMAZING.
- Great to see Brook's soul again, and him putting it to good use. G5 reactions are great.
- Zoro gulping and saying OK was great, all in all this was a nice Zoro-chapter.
- Vegapunk's pet dragon growling could indicate that the Strawhats have won it over on their side.
- Brownbeard getting some recognition is so good to see, I've really started to like this guy. The face he makes in the they-know-my-name-panel is quite cute.
- Kinemon got some DON-moments in this chapter, I've got a bad feeling about Momonosuke's situation though =(
- Sanji and Nami switcheroo was great, and Sanji got a badass moment when Usopp was proud of him.
- I like Law putting a time-limit on the rest of this arc, we now know that it's gonna go quick. Like he said before!
- The three-divided panel was epic, Smoker's determination was admirable and, Zoro's "The New World starts here" brought tears of joy to my eyes and Luffy's new attack looked great and playful. I wonder though, did he fly for a short while there? It'd make sense considering the name of the attack.
Cannot wait for next chapter. It's just getting better and better. Transition-chapter? No such thing, so much happened here despite the several pages of the outside effects
I don't think that Vergo being the head of G-5 necessarily means that he's stronger than Smoker. He may simply have seniority over him, having been stationed at G-5 longer. They both hold the same rank, so it's more likely that they're evenly leveled than anything else. This is Oda's first chance to show off Smoker being something other than a well-meaning antagonist and I doubt he'll make him unable to handle one of the two boss fights of this island.
What happen between Zoro and Tashigi??.. not a single panel about them..
I wanna see Zoro's rection!!
That group in Alabasta that drank that stuff that killed them, T-Bone(god bless his soul), Wanze, Jerry, Baskerville, Yama and some of the Priests, Miss Monday and Mr. 9, the 7 pair, Igaram would count if he didn't randomly come back. There are a lot of characters that served little to no purpose in the plot and get defeated very easily. Maybe not always in 2 chapters, but they may make few appearances during their time in the story. Not to mention that the Straw Hats have curbstomped literally every enemy since the timeskip sans Caesar, which only makes it easier to believe the Cool Brothers are done. I would love for them to get more time in the spotlight, but I just don't see it happening.
D'ah, you've got me again. you, sir, are a gentleman and a scholar. Go into my stables, you can have my finest steed. His name is Wingjammer.
Don't really like that in oda's storytelling, almost never killing off any named character (except ace and whitebeard), even if they aren't even slightly important. but the rest is mostly awesome.
@RadicalPanda
Completely agreed with everything you said. Pretty much my own views with the chapter itself.
