hmm... judging by the pics, I assume that the naked guy with kuma-bear apron is one of the ten Tootsuki gods right?

Yeah, my fears for this series are gone. The chapter did just what I thought it needed to do. Ready to just sit back and enjoy the ride.

    Spoiler:
I couldn't really understand the raw, but the apron guy's intro was enough for me to be interested in him.

And I'm kinda glad the series seems to have an equal amount of fanservice for boys and girls. Equality and such.

    trans out

And the English scan is out

Ballsy move to add "underage drinking" into the story, but feels realistic in that regards.

It was really good, despite some people who actually don't read the manga complaining, it actually does put cooking as the focal point of the manga, not just "lol random ecchi". The latter is an accent, not the main dish.

Also, lol at how much gap there is between 7th and 10th.
Isshiki is far more suitable as super chef, unlike the tsundere moron girl.

And I like how fiesty Soma is, immediately going for the ultimate question.
"If I beat you, does that put me at 7th then?"

To be fair, if I didn't "read" any of it and just looked at the pretty pictures, I would be fooled that it's an ecchi manga. It sure looks like it based strictly on the picture, but there are definitely a lot of neat tips in the comic that I would love to try out (obviously it probably wouldn't result in orgasmic results). It is great to see that the author has a strong sense for cooking and is demonstrating his knowledge (as well as tossing in some harmless fanservice). After all, the author could have EASILY created a predictable high school romance comic instead, but chose to produce something far more valuable.

Good for him. I'm glad this serie is staying afloat.

I just have to imagine if that impression would hold if he'd serve you the dish with a naked apron xD
But then that's why restaurants got waiters/resses.

Can't wait to see the other seats. This series kind of just emits a lot of silly fun compared to most of the other new series that don't really seem to emit anything.

About that, Morisaki Yuki, a gastromonist, is credited as a collaborator. That's why the cooking seems so authentic.

Huh, I didn't know that. Well good for Tosh to collaborate with someone that actually knows how to cook. Great example of how a writer (or a gastromonist) is capable of enhancing a narrative and giving it depth.

Well, I tought that Cassanova were the scanlators that worked in it uptill now, I guess that mangapanda could have just gave them the raws, besides the translation didn's seem weird.

Kind of... I don't want to say sad or dissapointed, but I tought that all 3 were going to be in the spread, but I guess that Nudity and almost explicit sex are different levels of taboo.

Did guys really just say that? I mean come the fuck on. What page comes first? The credit page. What is written on it? Casanova.

Mangapanda are scum and no decent scanlation group out there wants to have anything to do with them. The watermark that their online reader automatically slaps on any scanlation they upload there doesn't have any meaning or justification whatsoever.

If the reaction images were to be combined, it might have had a counterproductive effect: girls would question the presence of naked girls and guys would question the presence of a naked guy. This way everyone gets their share of fanservice pie. Certainly would have been funnier though.

Something is wrong, looking more foward to the raws on this than anything else right now(including the already released one piece).

For now the only thing that "shokugeki" makes me imagine is 2 people fighting with huge forks made out of cotton.

Chapter was a little disappointing, not enough soma and too much boring erina. But the last shot was kind epic considering that it had eggwhips in it.

    Chapter is out

    Spoiler:
All I kept thinking when seeing Erina cook was I hope that ponytail gets set on fire or hair falls into her food. I like how bitchy she was this chapter and am hoping she's stays that way for awhile before the probable inevitable turn (and hope that's done well too).

Given how much Bleach and Naruto got flak for it, thought I'd bring it up. At least some white ink was splashed onto the page, and it revealed the title's true meaning, but still...seems like a waste of a page.

And yeah, getting an orgasm from sumo wrestling...I get the metaphor, but the pleasure from that? Eww.

And despite that bit of pretentious air about him, I think Satoshi seems genuine about his belief in Soma.

I really hope that one on one shokugekis aren't the only way of battling.
    Team matches and restaurant battling!
Soma got to recruit his little team of chefs all specialized in a different way of cooking!

But lame ideas aside, I'm curious at what soma could obtain from maybe smaller shokugekis that would have enough value allowing him to challenge one of the seats?

Soma basically has to straw millionaire his way up the ladder, eh?

The meat assassin in the title's got me excited for next week.

    Chapter 10 is out

    Spoiler:
Nice American bikini...and overall design. I was not expecting that for a meat assassin (pretty hot).

Not that excited about the battle just because the outcome's obvious given the stakes (I realize it's a douche thing to complain about given it's still early so of course he'd win all of his early matches, but it could've been written with more tension I think). But Soma does wants to create a new don dish, so maybe the competition will allow him to do that.

Also wondering if Soma will end up joining this club or another. Still, this is classic shonen manga hero and it fits for him given his dislike of pompous people that only like rich ingredients.
