For some reason, Wano episodes wont play for me. At first I thought they changed something in the way they make their torrents, but new episodes from other arcs still play normally. it seems to be only Wano that is giving me issues. Does anybody understand the issue and can help me out?

Possibly since the encoder was changed to use chroma subsampling 4:2:2

This causes serious issues if your devices uses hardware decoder such as Raspberry Pi 4

I would love for One Pace to go back to 4:2:0 so that it would work on RPi, Chromecasts, FireSticks etc without having to personally transcode every episode.

For reference the last episode of WHI that works on RPi4 with HW decoder and 4:2:0

Very excited. Wano 16 was great; real nice work there. It was a pleasure to watch the whole Sanji fight in one episode, and it was also nice to see longer scenes and so much covered here.

But these file sizes keep getting bigger. This one is 1.5GB. Did we ever get an answer as to why these are so huge? Higher image quality, or just a weird export setting clicked that blows them up? Wano 6 was 700MB; they've more than doubled for some reason.

Yes, it’s to preserve image quality. Keep in mind that Crunchyroll’s own 1080p encodes of these episodes are 1.4gb, and they’re only 24 minute episodes. Drum is on the docket right after Little Garden or possibly even while Little Garden is coming out. Two different people are handling that part.

I myself am handling the Enies Lobby Gap, while Sewil focuses on the Post-War gap. The Skypiea gap belongs to Feeso and it should continue eventually.

But like always, there's no clear release path. Whatever gets done, gets released.
