Maybe Atomic thinks King cut through the apple so fast that he couldn't see it (or he imagined seeing it) in a way that the apple stayed intact, like the ability to cut nothing/only what you want in One Piece.
    I hate quacks.

This will be his last update. ONE said he'll be back to his irregular updates again.

Atomic Samurai reaction was hilarious, he clearly went full retard.

King's bluff status is basically a super power on its on.

This really might be the most genius thing that ONE could have done with King. I mean here we are at a point where the Heroes Association is at its most vulnerable point, with the recent attacks, reckless behaviors of its S Class, and the introduction of the Neo group. So it would be the perfect time to bring a fatal blow to the HA by exposing gay it's most prominent figure, which would in turn make the HA look like a joke.

But instead of what seemed like a scenario where one of there strongest members (Atomic Samurai) would lose all faith in the Association, they only further established his strength. But in all honesty exposing King would ruin his entire character, as his whole reason in the story is a gag.

It really came out of nowhere for this side story to happen, without the exposing of King and further legitimizing the Neo Heroes. Honestly this gag might be the best one that ONE has done yet. Even over the Reigan story in Mob.

I just love the fact that King is such a polar opposite to Saitama.

Saitama = ultimately powerful yet most everyone doubts it even if they see his strength firsthand.

King = competely powerless, but no one doubts his crediblity even if he can't do a thing to the point people make up absurd excuses for why he doesn't do anything.

Atomic Samurai like most S rank heroes is not the sharpest knife in the drawer but someone with his fast skills should be able to tell that King didnt moved at all.

The reatachment cut nonsense was already old when Toriko copied it from Kenshin.

King's speed of draw and masterful technique eclipsed Atomic's very own to such an extend that he couldn't even see the movements taking place. Truly, King's power is beyond any one human's estimation.

And Kenshin copied it fom Black Jack.

And I'm sure there's some japanese tall tale or myth that it originally came from.

Point is, it's a concept so old that it's a staple, like showdowns in westerns or superpowers in manga.
