I promised myself to not get any more games after Smash this year.
I agree the fact they used "new adventure" and "explore a dramatic new world" (though that could just refer to graphics) definitely implying strong changes.

After X/Y, I have reason to believe every Pokemon game is going to be at least as gigantic as the one before it

I hope we can use the space center in Mossdeep to go to the moon or something to get deoxys.

Good news. This time, I'll probably get a digital version.
I don't remember much about the originals so even in the case it's just a remake, it would be like a new adventure to me.
Hoping for new Mega-evos if possible.

Yeah I think it's gonna be a BW2 type deal, buuuuuuut so much hype anyway :DDD I'll be getting Omega Ruby, like I got Ruby back in the day... Really looking forward to hear more about this!

Hold me damnit, I can't believe it really happened.

But hey, don't Groudon and Kyogre look different in those boxes, design wise?

Yeah they look a little different, I don't think they're megas, but definitely something off

I'm only dissapointed that this is coming out so soon after Dragon Age 3.

Still a day 1 purchase, but...

Mightyena, Cacturne and Absol, here I come!

Awesome, Hoenn as a region should lend itself really well to a 3D makeover. Improve the Pokemon selection a bit, maybe make some shortcuts in traversing the sea, throw in night-and-day, and I'm ready for my Wingulls and trumpets.

I Just want to point out that the idea of ddingmegas that aren't in the mainline games of the gen isn't exactly unprecedented. While not megas, there have been a few forms that weren't coded into the first games of a gen. I'm pretty sure giratina origin form wasn't in the code of DP, and same with the two alternate kyurems in Black and White. The only complicating issue is that they don't change during battle. But this could be solved somewhat by playing the mega evolution animation and then not changing in appearance. And of course, just patching in a few extra models could solve even that

Platinum and BW2 count as main line games, as did Yellow, Crystal and Emerald. The remakes don't.

But yeah, otherwise you're right, there are a lot of ways they could do it, I just don't know if they will. We'll have to see.

Also, really excited at the potential for streetpass secret bases. It makes too much sense not to do IMO.

It looks like the games will have red/blue packaging.
At first I was gonna say 'are you being sarcastic?' then I realized you meant the outer part.

Judging by the box arts, some type ofnew form or mega is going to be included for the version legends at least. Since those are quite clearly and dramatically different from the typical designs of Groudon and Kyogre. Also really awesome

Everyone's going 'dude the legendaries look a little... off'.
It's their 'runes' lighting up, that's why.
if you look at them normally they have like. indented lines and shit all over them.
On the cover they're lit up, which MAY be a mega or a new ability of sorts, like with Xerneas having an Active form.

Swampert/Sceptile are likely getting megas to keep up with Blaziken so looks like the Gen II starters are getting skipped over lol

The runes look way different to the normal lines. And we've seen those lines light up in certain materials. It didn't look like that.

Yeah, their markings are lit up. Their forms are still exactly the same otherwise.
