There is no bigger proof of love than transform your loved ones into feces inside your body.

On one hand, I like the though that there are already casualties, or that there will be, on the kids side. These kind of actions deserve consequences, like when the Gracefield house escape plan involved sacrificing Emma's ear.
On the other hand, I hope all these kids make it. Whenever we see one of them die it always gets me down. :(

Damn, this manga keeps growing on me.

I swear half of the chapter I was just screaming inside my head "OMG MOVE ON I DON'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT ZACK!"

And now I'm worried a considerable portion of the next chapters will be used to create suspense regarding the survival of the kids even though zero time was spent into making us connect to them before the action started.

Yah, this is a fail from the part of the author, if you are going to make us care about them as persons you have to build them up properly.

I only remember Adam and Glinda's name. Not even the important guy or the girl who recruited Emma got enough buildup.

SOMEBODY has to die in this fight. A series this dark can't have everyone survive.

Surprisingly, despite its dark subject matter and the very real threat of death, very few named characters have actually died in this series.

It's hard to feel any real attachment to these kids since we barely know them.

I don’t understand that sentiment. While you may not know them, you know the world that they live in and the situation that they are in. They are a key part in this plan, so you should feel attachment to them.

But we don't, because the author hasn't made us privy to their past besides "they are cattle".

What he said. I'm sad for these poor kids, but I'm not bawling my eyes out like I would if, say, Ray were killed. Or any of the kids from Grace Field. I haven't known them long enough to do more than go, "Awww, that's too bad."

Lewis is one sadistic mothertrucker and an absolute delight, but my man Bayon is actually quite the sly racoon as well. I hope his final stand doesn't get off-screened!

I also like how the kids had the contingincy plan to lead bayon into a trap but bayon doesnt look like an idiot for falling for it. That can be hard for some authors to write
