Sanders pushed back against the criticism. "The truth is that in some conservative states there will be candidates that are popular candidates who may not agree with me on every issue. I understand it. That's what politics is about," Sanders told NPR.
"If we are going to protect a woman's right to choose, at the end of the day we're going to need Democratic control over the House and the Senate, and state governments all over this nation," he said. "And we have got to appreciate where people come from, and do our best to fight for the pro-choice agenda. But I think you just can't exclude people who disagree with us on one issue."
Unfortunately he has a point. The Democrats can only protect a woman's right to choose in every state on the federal level.
This is really gonna bite him in the ass, though.

Wasn't the guy who almost won the Kansas House seat pro-choice?

First off, no women's rights are not something worth compromising. Second, you're missing the main point. Osoff, someone who is for women's rights, LGBT rights, acknowledges climate change, and other things apparently doesn't qualify as a progressive, but someone who tried to get a bill mandating ultrasounds is. And if you can't see what's wrong with that, then you needed your head examined.

LOL at anyone who thinks that Sanders is a true progressive on any front other than the financial one.

This Washington Post article offered a clarification:

“If you run as a Democrat, you’re a Democrat,” Sanders said. “Some Democrats are progressive, and some Democrats are not.”

Sanders qualified this by saying he didn't know much about Ossoff, so perhaps it should be taken at face value — that he truly doesn't know enough to make a decision about him.
I didn't know who Ossoff was before this, but it sounds like Bernie should (and it's disappointing that he doesn't).

As far as supporting a Pro-Life Democrat goes... do you think the Republican is going to protect women's rights?

Isn't that all the more reason to support a Democrat who would?

Ossoff and Mello are running in different elections. Mello is running for mayor of Omaha Nebraska, and Ossoff is running for congress in Georgia.

If you're asking why Bernie would choose to support a mayoral candidate over a congressional one... I have no idea.

Tom Perez greatly regrets this goodwill tour.

If Ossoff wants Bernie's endorsement, he needs to be more of a strong progressive Democrat like Assad superfan (and longtime opponent, now "reformed", of gay rights) Tulsi Gabbard.

The only thing that matters is how much you can scream about THE BILLIONAIRE CLASS.

That seems a bit of a strong a statement for a few execution rulings. Is there anything about them that's not standard for the Supreme Court? (Serious Question)
