Probably the smartest thing she could have done so far.

Remember how Republicans made up a story from whole cloth about Clinton having a child sex trafficking scheme going on? Behind a pizza hut or something?

Well, that was a blatant lie, but guess which party just had a state senator plead guilty to actual child sex trafficking?

But at the same time, the family in the article voted for Trump and happened to coincidentally have an encounter with a republican senator immediately afterward that they're talking up as better than Franken, and that encounter was so positive they had to include it in the story rather than just talk bad about Franken, so actual motive for coming forward and how bad they atually thought it was is slightly suspect. (As is the fact the story started in the first place to try and drown out the stories about the child dater.) Doesn't change the fact that he grabbed her butt tho.

I'm saddened that Al Franken will surely be compared to Roy Moore thanks to the timing of this, but Al kind of has no one to blame but himself.

Also, another guy from Trump's administration might be in trouble:

Sources: McMaster Mocked Trump’s Intelligence At A Private Dinner

Over a July dinner with Oracle CEO Safra Catz — who has been mentioned as a candidate for several potential administration jobs — McMaster bluntly trashed his boss, said the sources, four of whom told BuzzFeed News they heard about the exchange directly from Catz. The top national security official dismissed the president variously as an “idiot” and a “dope” with the intelligence of a “kindergartner,” the sources said.
I'm curious to see how serious this article will be taken, given the source. However, I'd assume it's a true story anyway...because it's Trump. There's no way everyone in his administration doesn't do this.

Last week, the FCC voted to do away with afew broadcast ownership rules.

The Federal Communications Commission voted 3-2 Thursday to relax broadcast ownership rules that will allow Sinclair Broadcast Group to purchase Tribune Media and expand Sinclair's reach to nearly three-fourths of all American households. The vote was not a surprise, but it was not without some drama.

Common Cause, a critic of media consolidation said, "Even for this craven FCC majority, today’s vote to bless more media consolidation represents an awful new low. The FCC just wiped away time-tested and common sense safeguards that promote vibrant local media by ensuring voters have access to competing sources of news. By blessing consolidation this majority has ensured newsroom redundancy, meaning fewer working journalists to hold the powerful to account."

    The road ahead
Opponents are promising a lawsuit over the TV ownership rules. Democrats are hoping to launch an investigation into whether the GOP controlled FCC was giving preferential treatment to Sinclair, which critics say has Republican-friendly tendencies.

In other FCC news, a final vote to reverse the Net Neutrality order will take place next month.

Internet providers including AT&T Inc, Comcast Corp and Verizon Communications Inc say ending the rules could spark billions in additional broadband investment and eliminate the possibility a future administration could regulate internet pricing.

Critics say the move could harm consumers, small businesses and access to the internet.

In July, a group representing major technology firms including Alphabet Inc and Facebook Inc urged Pai to drop plans to rescind the rules.

Advocacy group Free Press said Wednesday “we’ll learn the gory details in the next few days, but we know that Pai intends to dismantle the basic protections that have fueled the internet’s growth.”

Pai, who argues the Obama order was unnecessary and harms jobs and investment, has not committed to retaining any rules, but said he favors an “open internet.” The proposal to reverse the Obama rules reclassifying internet service has drawn more than 22 million comments.

Pai is mounting an aggressive deregulatory agenda since being named by President Donald Trump to head the FCC.

We've really got to have the damn net neutrality fight AGAIN?

Of course we do, the big companies want those rules gone so they can monopolize and charge more.
