Huh, I actually like Joe's look better than what he had in the show.

Gomamon looks mostly the same but his face seems to match the troublemaker look just a smidgen more.

I feel like I haven't critiqued enough for some reason. :/

I like Joe better here because with all due respect to the show they do have the standard large eye, spiky hair anime look going on that I've seen a lot and the angular...ness(?) makes him pop out more from that style. Gomamon's mischiveness seems to come from how you did his mouth. Something about it seems both like a genuine happy grin and one he'd have if he were pulling a prank or something (don't remember if he did that in the show).

Okay, OCD critiquing is now satisfied.

I haven't finished the entire season yet (man I've gotten so many major spoilers at this point ), but the Makorra is just really bad writing, and I'm just sitting here going whyyy.

It's also a weird thing to me how they just jump almost immediately into romance subplots. That date with Bolin was cute, though. That didn't feel weird. But overall it's the opposite of Avatar where it actually builds on relationships over time and so when it does happen you either go "finally!!" or you've seen it coming.

Incidentally, on a little tangent, I thought it was cute how Meelo asked for some of Asami's hair. That kid is precious.
