MGS4: Guns of the Patriots

It was interesting to see how you guys were incredibely excited when the game was released.

Lol at Greg buying all sorts of Hd tv and high quality equipment for Mgs4 and end up being dissapointed.
Gekko woked up at like 4 am, I would have never sacrificed 3 hours of sleep for a game even as a fan lol.

The trophies have always been bs and useless. However, the trophy when you hit the Christian Bale guy in Duke nukeum was full of win. Honestly Kojima should have released an edition with no loading time for an act, improve and extend the gameplay of Act 5. Speaking of that, I heard the european version of ZOE2 had extended gameplay sequences to make the game longer.

MGS makes it's fans do crazy things. Haha although I didn't say it earlier in the thread (I think), I bought the game before I even bought the PS3.

And some members had an odd obsession with calling PS3 the "PS Triple". Never understood why.


I also was browsing the PS Store and found the MGS Encyclopedia. Don't know how I missed this when it came out 4 years ago, but it's really informative.

I had to buy a high def tv a week after getting a PS3. Low def just couldn't display text very well which was a problem for a lot of games, especially rpgs.

Upgrading the tv remains... an upgraded tv. Can be used for all the games since getting it and... watching tv! Wowsers!

I woke up several hours early since I was misinformed by gamestop employees that my much sought after MGS4 Ps3 Bundle was going to be in LIMITED STOCK and that i'd better get there early since there will be a line at the wee hours of the morning. What's funny is that I work for the company now and understand how we'll lie to hype people up to preorder a game... it's bascially the job. The ironic thing is that the MGS4 Bundle wasn't offered as a preorder... so this particular gamestop employee was full of it.

By the time the sun was rising and I was still the only fool sitting outside the gamestop, a man drove up to me to gloat that he already purchased his bundle from the nextdoor walmart. I wasn't really going to bother until he told me they were going to give me a 100$ giftcard for the purchase...

...when I left Walmart that day with my system I still saw no line at that gamestop... nor cared.

I don't mind trophies/achievements. People who buy games just to get those and improve their "score" I do find stupid though. And I've even seen people that are repulsed by the very idea of them which I find silly.
