Thread: Double-Posting

As double-posting seems to have become a problem, it is now a warn-worthy offense. The first time you double-post, you will have the second post deleted and receive a PM from a moderator. The second time will result in the raise of your warning level.
Please use the edit button instead of the new reply button. ^^

Hypothetical question here. What happens if you were the last post in an thread that would be ressurected (say if I made an Episode 3 thread now and by May it was on the 5th page or so.) and I had new info that would probably be popular or important pretaining to that subject. Would that be a time double posting would be allowed, or should you remake the topic?

one thing you can do, is to delete your last post, then make a new post. this way you dont double post, and you can give away the new info. and if you dont want what you said on the last post to be gone, you can always copy, delete the post, then paste on the new reply.

now, i dont know this because i have a mod account: members: can you or can you not delete your own posts?

When I double-post is when my T-moblie cuts off the connection, that happens to me sometimes

Not anymore. Which sorta sucks since it happens on accident a lot.

I think Double posting for bumping of threads is alright once in a while but don't overdo it.

And I would prefer to merge replies other than deleting them.

Seems fair enough, but remember mods, a lot of the time it is purely unintentional, or for the purposes of thread bumping. So please be extra vigilant when addressing this issue.

No, there's no option like that for members. Once you've posted, that's final, you can't delete.

Well, now that we actually have a delete button open to the members, this will help avoid 'double posting' in the future, like e1n was saying. So I guess now, there's no excuse for 'double posting', and if you are silly enough to get caught out, you deserve the warning. :P
