And the Meek shall Inherit the Earth.
Someone else probably said this but Long John Silver from treasure island was the #3 guy on flints crew and also shown to be a cook, and Sanji is the strawhat's third best fighter and a cook. Make with it what you will.
There is an old publishing company reponsible for what are considered by many definitive scholarly tomes on subjects like "Bushido" and other East Asian cultural stuff--called Ohara Publishing. Probably no relation to the Ohara scholars, but an interesting coincidence none-the-less, eh?
I'm still going with Bootsy Collins for him, at least on his latest design.
I'm inclined to agree, though I still see more Bootsy leanings.
Yes, because Oda can base his past characters on future films. That's Oda for you.
It's much less obvious in this case but this company is younger as well.

The country Ohara was in the #52 Jump 2005

I just noticed this similarity after reading 611. Thoughts?

Spoiler:
source: Akira book 1 page 202
Akira is great and a forerunner in many ways. But performance enhancing drugs where not one of it's inventions.
I was talking about the scene where the main "antagonist" is sitting around his subordinates and popping pills relative to their perspective goals. I know that Tetsuo used the drugs to suppress is mental abilities and Hodi uses them to enhance his physical strength. I just thought the scene was oddly familiar.
Ok, so I was watching basketball tonight (college), and for the first time ever I noticed Pepperdine's mascot, "Willie the Wave". Now, I know Franky is generally accepted as an Ace Ventura / Pop-eye hybrid, but as I have never seen this mascot suggested before I thought I would throw him in here.
Hidden:
I always thought Zoro's name was a reference to Zorro.
Wow, he's got the Hawaii shirt and everything. The question remains, where does Franky's underwear come from
Don't know if that was mentionned, but this story of a princess locked up in a tower for year remind me of Rapunzel's tale.
sounds plausible
