I very miss the times when I watched One Pece on rtl2. A question the the people in Germany. Is there still this Pokito? That was so annoying. I wish I would have stayed in Germany.

Yes, there still is Pokito. ^^

Looks like you German folks got lucky with your dub - I mean, they even try to replicate the music of the first opening, that rocks!
The English one sucks, as you have heard, yet strangely, even my 15-year old friend devoted 30 minutes of his life to watching it every week day. That's how popular animes are, even when they are horribly cut.
You know what. There are 2000 students in my school and I know no one who knows about One Piece. When I was in Germany with 600 student, I know 13 students who watch One Piece every day. Still, I sometimes watch German ONe Piece on youtube and after waatching the japanes ne with subtitles, I kinda feel strange when I hear the German voices. Especially the way they speak.
Actually its the same when a German guy listens to Japanese voices.Theyre speaking way 2 fast and too...well...girl-voice like :P
As Im german, German voices sounds pretty farmiliar to me ^^
nah, isn't 80% too much? One Piece is lucky.
Naruto on the other hand is even worse than the american version. they cut every bloody second. in the end you woudn't know why someone drops to the ground although he isn't hurt at all. and the dubs are incredibly crappy.
and due to the cut scenes the dialogues are sometimes unlogical.
One Piece is lucky, really.
just watch the uncut version like dragonball gt

German Sogeking, sounds weird. Still funny though :)
^ God damn they work fast, they produce good dubs too.
This is so hilarious. i never thought the voice actor could handle that song.
but he prove me wrong.
hahha that was one of the coolest things ever XD

One word: Spändäääääm XD
I always complain about the german dubs... it sounds like the voice actors are picking their noses while speaking oô They sound so emotionless sometimes... but when I saw an american episode of One Piece, my first thought was: ".... lucky, lucky girl." XD One of my friends started to complain after the Sogeking episode: "Whoa, they ruined his song! It´s soooo bad translated...!" ... but I´m glad that his song wasn´t cut out XD
"A.I.D.S." kinda won after all o_O"
About the Sogeking intro: Please shoot me x_X
I didn't think it was time yet, but one of the dubbing companies actually made it to Sogeking. It turns out that Germany is up to episode 262 now. Anyway, if you're the type who likes to watch other dubs for comparison's sake, check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XHb0o...related&search=
It's not all that bad. Sure, it's not as good as the original (Since when is a dub dub ever as good as the original?) but they come very close and didn't mess with the song except for the lyrics, but that's understandable. You gotta admit that Usopp sounds manly in German, though. As I said, it's not as good as the original, but it comes very close and they did a rather good job in my opinion.

We got a german thread.
Holy damn! Germany's hauling ass on their dub!
I gotta get me some German Iceberg here. Despite the fact that, as Buuhan mentioned, we do have a specifically German dub oriented thread, I never would have noticed this unless you'd posted it, so thanks a bunch. :D
